Dr. Teso completed his general surgery internship and residency at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Yale School of Medicine, under the mentorship of Dr. Stanley Dudrick. During this time, he also served as a research fellow at Yale School of Medicine, conducting both basic and clinical research focused on cell signaling, arterial wall response to injury, and outcomes related to carotid artery disease. His work resulted in numerous publications and research awards. He went on to complete advanced fellowship training in vascular surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston under the guidance of Dr. William Mackey.
