Melissa continued her education at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith where she graduated Nursing Valedictorian. She moved to Colorado and began working for a hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. During her time at the hospital, she held various positions from staff nurse to manager. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs and has been working in family practice in Pueblo West, Colorado for the last two years.
