Place is so awful took 20 mins before anyone even thought to take my order you pay $24 for the smallest barria tacos in the world(plus a beer made it 30) but because they are on a clothespin it makes them special. They also ran out of chips and I ordered the queso they waited 10 mins before they told me this no salsa. This PLACE IS SUPER OVERHYPED only hypebeasts like this shit. Stay far away from here you can get bang for your buck from a lot more places. I never leave reviews like this so it really got to me im sure the bots gonna respond “your evaluation is very important to us” like I said stay away from here. Atomosphere is good tho. And honestly this one of the worst barria tacos i ever had and I Geniuelly mean that. My waitress was chill tho no hate towards her.

Great pre 4th of July lunch that included the cute “Beeyuzufull”, the Ribeye Guac which was perfectly delectable for starters, the Ceasar salad with charbroiled toast that was delightful, and the Chef’s Signature “Tendedero De Birria” that truly was as tasty as it was beautifully presented.

The tacos here were subpar. This restaurant spent more money on interior design than the quality of the food. The glowing menus, the cascading flower ceiling, the macrame on the walls... all trying to wow the diner into thinking their $26 tacos and $10 piece of corn on the cob is worth it. I am looking at previous pictures of the Rosarita tacos and see a heap of shrimp. My Rosarita tacos contained 3 pieces of shrimp each and tasted like they weren't cleaned properly. The birria tacos were tiny and came out on a clothesline where the oil and grease drips off onto the accouterments below. I could go on, but my advice here is if you want to pay triple for limp tacos, this is the place to be. I am sad I wasted a date night here.

Walking in there was a sewer/dirty water smell that hit you in the face. Upon sitting down at the table we noticed that all the water cups were dirty. We asked the waitress for new cup, which she brought and those were fine.

When we went to order the waitress actually told us not to order something we were looking at, because it is not good. That should have been a sign about what was to come.

We ordered drinks and the cup mine came in was not cleaned good. (See pictures attached.)

The rice tasted like 90 second rice, very bland. Meat was dry and overcooked.

They had someone celebrating a birthday while we were there. I was very concerned for the safety of all guests when they brought out strobe lights. Because with as dark as it was and as bright as those lights were they could have triggered someone to have a seizure.

We were a party of 4 so they charged 20% gratuity, this was a surprise as most business don't add gratuity until 6 people or at least have it posted somewhere.

When the check came they couldn't split the bill, which is a basic sit down restaurant service.

Overall I am very disappointed in the overall cleanliness, feeling of safety and quality of food.

We were extremely lucky to have a new waiter who was so attentive to us. Cruz we give him more than 10 stars especially since he was new. The food and atmosphere was exceptional! I’m from Texas but if you’re in Baton Rouge don’t skip this place! We had the best brunch!
Oh let me saw the menus rock, they light up especially perfect for people who wear glasses and those like me who doesn’t want too 🤣truly was a game changer loved it ❤️Thank you Cruz for answering all our questions
