I do not believe in a rating for the customer service that was received tonight at this location. Arrangements has been made
notified them that a senior's group would arrive around 5.pm for
dinner. We were greeted at the door by the staff who held open the door for an easier entrance. I believe this is the point that customer service was forgotten.
We were shown to our area and informed service would arrive shortly.This was 5;05 and the requested water and coffee arrived
at the table at 5;40. Not once did the manger who was walking by tables inquiry what stage was the meal at. One quick look and she moved on, as I assumed she was thinking the seniors would not complain. One quarter of the seniors got their meal ahead of the rest,I may add without your sauce got that you readily advertise. Plates arrived with wrong combos. Baked potatoes were not thorougly cooked and the quarter chicken I
was given had little meat but a healthy hunk of fact. I requested it to be replaced,it was however the quality did not
improve,it was basically the same cut of meat. The impression given was that these clients were seniors and would not complain which they did not. Desserts orders were limited to
lemon and apple pie. Previously the other waitress had given
your full selection to the next table and when I questioned why,it was the other waitress;s error. Crap. It was very annoying to others in the group when the other waitress clients were served pecan and cream pie. The apple pie given
to the others looked and tasted as leftovers which I am sure it was. Other people had to request tea or coffee.
The seem to be an error on the bill and the manager took over
from the waitress. Overall all I would say,don;t visit this restaurant.
I have these questions:
If they knew the seniors were coming,why was there not glasses of water already on the tables?
Why was assistance not provided to ensure the waitress could deliver the request for water and coffee before 40 minutes?
Why was the dinner that was to be provided as arranged not
done on a consist time basis,and orders not completed as requested. Why bother asking the seniors what they wanted?
Why did Swiss Chalet give the impression that the seniors would not complain,which by they way the seniors did not complain regardless of the service provided or lack thereof.
I know that this service was not part of package when it was reserved and that the organizer was not at fault as the service was provided by the restaurant.
I feel very strongly that the seniors were given a lower level
of service simply because it was felt they would not regardless of what happened.
The reason I am writing this review was due to the fact I was a guest of one the seniors and was not happy with the service.
I know Swiss Chalet can and does provide excellent service because they do so at the branch in Barrhaven.
These seniors should be compensated.

I would like to preface these remarks by stating that I am not, in fact, the customer who experienced the poor service. I was, however, so unimpressed by the service that our guest received that I felt compelled to write you to let you know.

Our guest placed an order at approximately 20:00 on Tuesday June 30th. He was hung up on THREE times while trying to place his order and called back each time. I then called on his behalf and asked to speak to a manager. I was then put on hold and hung up on myself!

Mr. Mawani, in spite of this, did manage to make an order. He was told it would be sent out to him in five minutes. He then returned to his room. It was then over 53 minutes before a delivery person arrived at our hotel.

When the delivery person returned from the room and left, I immediately received a call from our guest who stated that he had received only desserts and drinks BUT NO MEALS! At that point I did call back and spoke to a Ramina I believe (she was very helpful by the way).

Ramina was able to get our guest a full refund on his meal and I applaud her for that. However, it needs to be stated that this was a complete service failure at every point of the process and clearly changes need to be made in your organisation. For the record the number both our guest and I had called was the 613-746-1777.
