I went to POI in April. I went to POI because I was desperately searching for an alternative to “conventional” alcohol treatment. My wife and I really got to know Diane for a few months before I left for Cabo. During this time she answered EVERY single question we had. This was uncharted territory for both of is, so Dianes guidance was nothing short of amazing. On my “Journey” I experienced so many things. All of those experiences have led to my being almost 6 weeks sober and truly happy! People go get Ibogaine treatment for a variety of reasons and mine was alcohol. I dont want it anymore. I am truly free. Changing my “habits” when I returned home has been something I have adapted to and my life is changing every single day! I am finally able to move forward instead of struggling to not go backwards. The facility at POI was an intimate family like setting. Small, organized and professional, yet very very very comfortable. The hospitality provided by Diane, George and their staff was 6 stars. Lol, although Google only gave me 5 to give. I will stress that POI is not just any Ibogaine treatment facility. It is unique in that they are fully invested in each individual and that is something I witnessed first hand. I made new friends, I had amazing experiences and most importantly I left with zero anxiety, a clear head a smile on my face and FREEDOM. My boys got their Dad back and my wife got her husband back. I feel as if it is purely selfish if I dont share my experience and the profound impact that it has had on my life with others! Thank you Diane, George, Chuy and everyone else that I now call my friends!

The entire team at POI from Diane, George, Poppy, Chewy, Bern, and Veronica all create a great experience for guests. The 1:1 attention and care is unmatched by other centers/and facilities. The level of care exceeded expectations. The monitoring, precautionary steps, and scheduling they have in place creates the best possible experience for guests to have a smooth experience. The new center is beautiful and a good blend of privacy and community so that you can take time for yourself but also connect with the team and other guests.
I was referred by a friend, who also referred 3 other local friends.
All 5 of us had good experiences with POI even though we all attended for different reasons and health considerations.

From the moment I first reached out, the experience felt elevated and intentional. I spoke directly with Diane, the owner—an exceptional human being—and was never passed off to a salesperson. That alone set the tone for what this place represents.

The property itself is stunning. It genuinely feels more like a luxury resort than a treatment facility—beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed in a way that immediately puts you at ease. Every detail is clearly intentional.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the level of care. The staff is not only professional and knowledgeable, but deeply compassionate in a way that’s hard to find. You can tell they’re here for the right reasons.

For context, this is not the only place I’ve been to in Mexico for this type of treatment and compared the more well-known, widely recognized place I been to, well it doesn’t even compare, I felt safe here.

If you’re looking for a place that combines high-end comfort with genuinely exceptional care, this is it. An easy 10/10. Wishing anyone considering this path the very best.

I went to POI for mental health and was at the point where I would've done ibo in a basement in North Dakota. My expectations for the setting and care were low, but Diane, George, and the rest of the staff blew it away! Everyone was caring, selfless, and attentive. They were extremely hands on even though they didn't have to be, and made sure you were taken care of and safe. The environment was setup for peace and healing and that's exactly what you got. The other patients there along with Diane, George, and the nurses really made you feel like you were part of a family. Eating meals together and spending time at the pool and beach was a huge component of inner healing, especially for someone who grew up without a family in a chaotic environment. It was also nice to have people there to talk too and share the experience with, as these medicines are taboo in regular society and are difficult to connect with when sharing the experience with other people.

The actual trip was very difficult and intense but it got the job done and gave me a multitude of unexpected benefits which included being free from both physical and mental pain. I no longer fear anything, and am grateful each day to be alive. I fully enjoy and embrace each day now where as before I would engage in unhealthy activities to escape. I also feel free to express myself the way I am and be vulnerable. Nothing or no one can bring me down anymore! I am happy which is our natural state of being.
After the ibo, I did 5me0 2 days later and it was the most beautiful serene experience that I ever experienced. It effected me greatly and i still think about it everyday and even tear up when I think about what I felt(where as before the only time i would cry was maybe when I was drunk haha). Without the ibo though, I wouldn't have been able to appreciate and take in the lessons that the 5me0 gave me.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I'm still learning new lessons each day from it. I have a new lease on life and am taking full advantage of it. I can't wait to go back one day and dig even deeper! For those considering ibo and doing it at POI I would highly recommend it over everything else. It requires a great deal of energy exchange on your end, but what you get out of it is ineffable. I can't imagine taking this journey anywhere else but at POI. I can’t say enough good things about the POI Institute! George and Diane have created something truly special here. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported and cared for. Their team of medical providers is top-notch, and I always felt safe and in good hands throughout the entire process.

The ibogaine and DMT experience was life-changing and worked exactly as I had hoped. The way George and Diane run their program makes all the difference – it’s professional, compassionate, and effective. If you’re looking for real healing in a safe environment, I highly recommend POI!
