Have called Mater Hot Water Heater a few times when we’ve had plumbing leaks, and needed someone to come right away. They’re very quick to respond and fix the issues. The guys were very professional and knowledgeable and got us back up and running same morning. Would absolutely recommend.

I called on a Friday evening for a maintenance issue. The person on the phone told me someone would be out in around an hour, and it would be a $187 call-out charge plus materials (I confirmed this number back to him). A plumber, Jacob, turned up exactly an hour later. He quickly found the problem and fixed it -- no materials needed. He was friendly, efficient and I was really happy with the service.

I expected to receive an invoice for $187 + tax. Instead it was $381 + tax. I called the office to query the difference. If they had apologised and fixed the invoice, this would be a 5-star review. Instead, they said the plumber had charged for 2.5 hours (I knew from text messages he was there 47 minutes). When I explained he was there less than an hour, they said the extra was for travel time. Eventually, after three calls, they reduced the bill to $238+ tax. I paid it but will not use this company again.

Got my hot water tank replaced. The install was solid — tricky spot to work in, but the tech made it fit nicely. Price seemed pretty standard maybe a few hundred more than i thought it'd be, no choice of tank offered.

Taking off one star because they drained the old tank onto my lawn and killed a big patch of grass (there was a gravel spot right there!).
Another star off for the billing — no quote upfront and had to chase them a few times to get the final bill.

My hot water tank failed on a Friday. I bought a new tank at Home Depot and called a few plumbing companies to ask if any were able to install my new hot water tank the same day. Most of them said they couldn’t. I called Eastern Plumbing (i.e. Mister Hot Water Heater) and they said they would be able to come over in a couple hours to install it. Ryan came by in exact time and only took a couple hours to install it. Excellent service, person, and did a great job, overall. Really appreciated the quick reply and the ability to provide such excellent service in such short notice. Would highly recommend!
