When I discovered that the wall-to-wall carpeting in my house was hiding the most gorgeous hardwood floors, I knew I had to have them restored to their original mid-century beauty. I shopped around for a contractor, but I pretty much knew right when I met him that Matthew & his team were the right guys for the job: he saw my vision, had a “can-do” attitude, came in with the most competitive estimate, & then started two weeks later. The crew are fantastic: knowledgeable, hard-working, quick-thinking, polite & funny, clean, & respectful.

As if that’s not enough, just as they were wrapping up my flooring job, I discovered a leak in the roof of my garage - once again, Millennial to the rescue, with a fair estimate for a thorough solution, and fixed only two days later. I doubt I’ll ever go anywhere else for any future repairs or renos. I’m very, very happy with the work & service the Millennial guys provided. (Before & after photos of my floors below!)

We contacted Millennial Contracting regarding a small basement bathroom renovation. We first spoke to Zoe on the phone and she asked what exactly we were looking for so that Matt knew what we wanted before he even came to give us an estimate. Matt was very professional and had great ideas on how to achieve what we were looking for. We signed a 6 week contract, which was started within 2 weeks of signing, and they were done within 5.5 weeks.

Matt's team was on time, friendly, professional, hard working, and always had time to answer any questions we might have. The site was left tidy every night. Paper was laid to protect our floors and plastic was hung to try to minimize the dust throughout the rest of the house. The project manager Shawn was on top of everything and went above and beyond to fix an oversight. The plumbing and electrical subcontractors were also very professional.

We would not hesitate to recommend Millennial Contracting to anyone, and would definitely hire them again.

Matthew, Shawn & the Millennial Contracting crew were the best guys to have onsite - hardworking, attention to detail, punctual, diligent, experienced, professional & friendly. Coordination of tasks between MC’s crew & the electrical & plumbing sub-contractors was timely.

Our master bathroom needed a major overhaul. Floor, walls, ceiling, tub, plumbing - everything was torn out down to the wall studs. There weren’t any options to expand its 6’ x 12’ footprint so the layout remained the same.

Hard to believe but it actually looks more spacious than before! It’s just nice to be in there now.

Matthew gave us a quote that included a budget for a walk in shower wall insert, floor tiles, toilet, vanity & fixtures & a starting point with those items that we selected from local retailers.

For the shower walls I selected a full size matte finish faux marble in a medium grey, rainhead / hand held shower attachment, towel warmer & sliding doors with flat black finish.

For the flooring, I originally thought I would go with a light grey barn wood like flooring. Carmine, our flooring consultant suggested we go in a different direction, showing me a selection of tiles.

I loved the white Sarana Tile, 1‘ x 2‘ pieces in Crash Blue Matte which is a white tile with blueish gray marbling so much that I reached out to Matthew to add the replacement of our son’s upstairs bathroom flooring with the same tiles, to the project which they were able to accommodate.

Brendan & Eric did the majority of the work in the master bathroom. Eric took the time to arrange the tiles to see how they would best go together with the colouring pattern, he did a great job.

The vanity plus linen tower & over the toilet storage cabinet, all in Dawn, with “slim black” drawer & cupboard handles, Carrera Quartz top & Akwa sink, were all from Canadian company Stonewood Bath Cabinetry & sourced from Emard Bros.

They were very careful about keeping the work area clean, laying special paper down along the floor from the entrance of the house to the work area. The bathroom was taped off with a plastic tarp to contain any dust & debris, so we were still able to sleep in our room, we just weren’t able to use that bathroom.

As work progressed in the master bathroom reno, the guys were able to start work in the laundry room bathroom. They replaced the original acoustic false ceiling panels with permanent drywall ceiling, changed out the fixtures, the laundry cabinet & sink, the toilet & added electrical lighting along the wall & painted the walls & ceiling.

Our upstairs bathroom’s floor original tiles were cracked, so they removed the toilet & pedestal sink, laid down the under flooring & the new tiles. It looks so much better!

The second job that we had them do apart from the 3 bathroom renos & upgrades was removing the old east & west facing sliding kitchen patio doors & installing new ones. We also purchased a new front door with side panels & transom. Those were ordered from FenPlast in Vaudreuil. Delivery was quite delayed, but Matthew & his crew were able to work around that.

Replacement of both sliding patio doors was completed within two days. Jay was back to complete the front door & lock install himself & finish the interior wall of the front entrance. Such an amazing difference inside & out with the new front door.

Best of all, ok second best of all because the work they performed was THE BEST of all… they were amazing with our French Bulldog Morty who always thinks he has to be in on the action. They’d give him a little pet upon arrival & spend a few minutes with him before departing on the days they were here. He appreciated that. I’d usually take him upstairs & keep him away from the hustle & bustle while they worked during the day.

I couldn’t be happier with the reno & upgrade results. I’m just sorry this review has taken so long to post. Thank you Matt & your MC crew!

The kitchen renovation is finally complete. We could not be more pleased with our contractor, Matt Daigle and his team at Millennial Contracting. They were very professional, courteous and went above and beyond to bring our kitchen vision to fruition. Matt was a pleasure to work with and did a great job over seeing the entire project, obtaining the building permit, arranging, and coordinating the trades people which included electrical, plumbing, HVAC, tilers and cabinet maker. Millennial offered a full-service including demolition to installing new flooring, prepping walls and painting. Matt also followed up to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The team from Millennial Contracting were always punctual and made sure the area was cleaned at the end of the day, making living in a major renovation that much easier. Additionally, their selection of working music was also decent. I would recommend Millennial Contracting without hesitation.
