Just visited The Picklr’s brand-new Albuquerque East location (45 Hotel Circle NE), and wow—what a game-changer for indoor pickleball in ABQ! It opened on Feb 7, 2026, and while I missed the grand opening due to being out of town, it’s already clear this will be the go-to spot for players of all levels.
I’m usually not a fan of indoor facilities because of harsh lighting and difficulty tracking fast balls, but The Picklr surprised me in the best way. The excellent lighting and black walls make a huge difference—it’s far superior to any other indoor spot I’ve played, including my previous favorite, Defined Pickleball in Rio Rancho (which is solid but not quite on this level).
I was hoping the noise would be noticeably better too, but it’s only a notch above average—still challenging at times to hear score calls with multiple games going. Not a deal-breaker, just something to note.
The facility itself is massive and impressive: 12 pristine indoor courts (including 5 championship-sized), smooth surfaces, great lighting, clean locker rooms and showers, a minimalist but solid snack/drinks area, a well-stocked pro shop, and private event spaces. The staff is super friendly and passionate—shoutout to Colby for chatting about leagues, clinics, and open play. It’s ideal for casual drop-ins, competitive DUPR-rated games, or getting started.
I’m especially looking forward to any DUPR Waterfall tournaments they hopefully will host here—those formats are perfect for getting multiple quality matches in a short time.
If you’re in Albuquerque and love pickleball (or want to try it), this premium facility is absolutely worth checking out. Highly recommend their intro offers or membership. Can’t wait to go back!

The only real downside is the location. We already have a fantastic public outdoor spot nearby at Manzano Mesa Pickleball Complex (just a short drive away with 33 courts). Albuquerque would benefit more geographically from a Picklr in the far northeast heights, where there’s currently nothing dedicated to the sport. Of course I am biased because I live over there LOL 🤣

Hello, The Picklr Eastside A lbuquerque, has officially opened! A BIG shout out to Marty and the entire staff bringing the very best indoor pickleball venue to the state. Grand opening was a huge success with over 200 founding members . The facility was emaculate and worthy of the highest praise and a 5 Star review.
