Danielle earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Biology at Limestone University, Gaffney, SC; a Master of Science in Human and Molecular Genetics at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA; and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at South University, Richmond, VA. She enjoys this specialty because she loves getting to work with her hands on spatially complex joint dislocations or bony fractures. “I get to help care for people during some of their toughest days. I help manage bone and joint injuries following traumatic accidents, both in the hospital and operating room.” In her own words… Who is or was the most influential people/role models in your life? My mom is easily the strongest and most influential person in my life. If I can be for my child, half the mother she was to me, I’ll consider it a success. What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? Sandwich Artist at Subway. I’ll never forget how much mayonnaise actually went into the tuna salad. What is your favorite food? Movie? Favorite food: Pasta, potatoes Favorite movie depends on the mood. What was your best/worst subjects in school? I did well in science and technology; literature and history were not my strong suit If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be and why? My grandfather passed away during COVID and my son is named after him. I would love to introduce them and hear all his childhood stories just one more time. In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about? Overall health and wellbeing. Medicine is great for treatment, but there’s so much you can do yourself preventatively at home. What are your hobbies, interests? I love being outdoors. My husband and I are big into hiking and starting to camp. I really enjoy weight-lifting and playing sports. Do you have pets? An Australian Shephard named Linus. What is something most people don’t know about you? I’m an Irish triplet with twin brothers right behind me. Read more
