Originally from Sioux City, Iowa, Amanda earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska, where she was also a member of the Nebraska Army National Guard. During her service, she deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving with a medevac unit as a flight medic—an experience that helped shape her clinical judgment, adaptability, and dedication to patient care. Amanda earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Following graduate school, she practiced orthopaedics at Dartmouth Hitchcock before relocating to Hampton Roads and joining Tidewater Orthopaedics. She lives in Newport News with her husband. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys staying active through running, biking, and swimming and has completed several triathlons.
