Part of Mediate UK, which has helped families since 2011, the branch gives separating and divorcing couples a quicker and more affordable alternative to court. Mediation begins with a MIAM, your individual Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting, which the family court normally expects you to attend before applying. From there, our Family Mediation Council accredited mediators guide you through child arrangements mediation, financial and property mediation, or all-issues mediation when children and money need to be settled together. Sessions can take place in person at Western Boulevard, online, or by shuttle when meeting face to face feels too difficult. Anything you agree is recorded in a parenting plan or turned into a legally binding consent order. About 90% of the families who choose Mediate UK reach an agreement, and the process usually finishes in a few sessions over a few weeks rather than the many months a court case can take. Legal aid is available for those who are eligible, and the service holds more than 712 five-star reviews. To arrange a MIAM or a free consultation, call 0115 677 0408 or email admin@mediateuk.co.uk.
