She specializes in the medical management of retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, retinal tears, and other complex retinal conditions. Dr. Raparia performs a wide range of in-office retinal procedures, including intravitreal anti-VEGF injections and retinal laser treatments, helping patients achieve the best possible visual outcomes. Dr. Raparia earned her undergraduate degree from Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College, where she was selected for the prestigious eight-year combined B.A./M.D. program with SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate with a Distinction in Research and was selected for the Clinical Neurosciences Pathway Honors Program. During medical school, she also received the SUNY Downstate Alumni Fund Research Fellowship Award and participated in community vision screening initiatives. She completed her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during her final year, before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Medical Retina at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School.
