Chiemeka Ezie is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. Prior to his medical training, he completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Harvard College and worked in cognitive neuroscience research. He subsequently attended the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, completed a residency in psychiatry at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and New York State Psychiatric Institute, and undertook a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical Center. He currently serves on Cornell's telepsychiatry consult service, where he supports the mental health care needs of patients in the emergency department and inpatient medical units at several NYP hospitals. His academic interests include medical education, health disparities, and novel applications of mobile and internet technologies in behavioral health research and treatment. Born in Buffalo, N.Y. and later raised in Wake Forest, N.C., he is grateful to have found a home in New York City. Read more
