I went there 2 summers in a row when I was a teen. I believe they were the summers of 87 and 88. So much fun. Made memories and friends I will never forget. Will probably be looking to send my son there in a few years :)

I went to bar w two years in a row. I went to St.benedicts and one of the winter activities we could choose was to go there. The owner was fantastic we learned how to run and jump on a small horse bareback, we got to each go out and get our own pony. We had a campfire, hot chocolate and a trail ride. I will always remember the experience.

When i had first moved to Ontario in 1996 from a small village in Quebec..my mom encouraged me to join me new friend from Sudbury on her Saturday ridings. The owner, (i forgot his name, I'm sorry) used to pick all us up in his van who needed a ride to and from the farm for only 22$..all day...amazing!
We would stop at Tim Hortons to get The day old donoughts and bridal the horses from the fields that way lol. those horses are spoiled!
It was a Christian camp, which i respected but never really participated in, but it was such a great place. I remember one of his daughters, Alison i think (she was lovely ) ...she was the leader at the time and i also remember he adopted kids and also maybe fostered aswell.. just a great family all together!
We would ride all day.. I used to go more so during the winter...theres something about riding in the snow. Its kinda better i feel...especially when getting kicked off lol.

i believe that because of this ranch it has given me confidence to do what i choose to. Having connected with animals much larger than I, then building a relationship with them can def add to the soul. I often think of those months and always want to return. I hope they are still open as i would love to come back and re connect with Cisco... i always wanted the biggest horse lol.

Thank You Bar W Ranch for all the beautiful childhood memories! xoxoxo
