I am always inspired by their resilience and maturity beyond their years. A child with cancer will often help the parents and adults cope. It is truly a privilege to be part of their care team. Patients often thank me for the time I spend with them. They appreciate it when I visit them in the hospital after surgery. They also welcome direct communication.
