What a wonderful treat inside the city. It was great to run, walk, rent a swan boat or kayak, or simply sit and enjoy passerby’s. Great place to go.

We went a short distance.

There was a ramp for a wheelchair in White River State Park. I was getting nervous about finding a way back up. Finally near the Residence Inn, there was an elevator (urinated in).

It was just a nice leisurely time in, essentially and hard to believe, the middle of the city. I wish the weather had been better as I would have walked farther and seen more but it was, for the most part (note, a few homeless were taking shelter under bridges, &c) clean and well-maintained and enjoyable way to spend some time.

Illegally parked in a fire lane on the side of the Beacon Dermatology building on Feb 6, 2026. Made it very difficult for my disabled friend to access the wheelchair ramp.

The are was nice. The Colts Playground was a great place for the kids to play. I wouldn't suggest the playground for smaller children, but it is fine for 5+.

I had a serious concern with my roof sagging. Blaine came out to asses the problem promptly putting my mind at ease. I was not charged for the time he spent with me which is truly refreshing these days. In the coming years my roof will be due for replacement and I know who I will be contacting. Recently we had a roof leak after living in our home for 15 years. It was a mysterious leak which no one seemed to be able to diagnose. Blaine from Central came out to the house yesterday and calmly assessed the situation after inspecting the roof. He identified some deficiencies that no one else had done in 15 years. He believed these were the source of the leak and after thanking him he said Central would not be charging for his time as it was just an inspection. You cannot find this kind of service in Calgary anymore. Every business in Calgary wants to start charging as soon as you talk to them. Well done Central and Blaine!
