Hiring a good contractor for a job can be both time-consuming and a ‘hit and miss’ process. We had been planning to do replace some damaged bricks and re-parge five different areas of our century-old house where the elements and the passage of time had taken their toll. We contacted Julian at JV Deco who was in the process of completing large multi-week project for one of our neighbors in NDG. Julian provided us with a timely quote for the relatively small amount of brick repairs we needed done. The work was completed on schedule and entirely to our satisfaction. The bricklayers on site, Steve and Gary, took pride in their work and cleaned up on a regular basis. Contact JV Deco if you’re looking for a reliable brickwork contractor, who has good communication, and does quality work on budget according to the estimate. We will be using their services again in the Fall for another project; highly recommended!

The work done was superb! Not only did the workers put in long hours every day to complete the project so that we could enjoy our backyard again, they were kind and communicated well. They helped us solve problems and easily added on smaller jobs while they were doing our big main work. I am very happy that we decided to work with them and trust them fully to do any other masonary work. Finally, they cleaned up well every day and did a great job at the end removing as much dust and debris as possible. We had just had a lot of brand new work done to our back deck and railings before the brick work and there was not a scratch to be seen upon completion of the work from JV Deco (which involved multi level scaffolding and moving around of a lot of materials).

Julian and his team replaced 3 windowsills and did some minor brick repointing on our home.

From our first email inquiry, Julian was at our house 2 days later to check out the scope of the work, and a couple weeks after that, the job was finished.

Communications with Julian were easy, clear, and detailed. His team arrived promptly, worked diligently, and cleaned up after themselves after they were finished - they even reattached our planters and cable box to the wall they had worked on. The end result is a smooth and stress free experience, and our new windowsills look great!

I would absolutely work with JV Deco again for future masonry work on my home. Thanks again to Julian and team for the great work!

Our home is over 120 years old and is of triple brick construction so opening a wall to put in an 8’ sliding patio door was a complex task. It required careful coordination between Julian, the door installer, an engineer, a steel contractor and general contractor. Julian and his team did a meticulous job from start to finish. He matched the new lintel perfectly to the existing ones and with their excellent brick and stone work it looks like it’s all of a piece. He carefully explained the whole process to us to kept us fully apprised every step of the way. I highly recommend Julian and his team.
