I had JS Group install a new sump pit in my basement. They were quick to come out and quote the job. Clear with expectations. Their guys showed up on time, used drop sheets and plastic to protect my floor and belongings. When I checked on the progress the evening before they finished, I thought I would have quite a bit of clean up to do after they left. But, when they were finished they cleaned up after themselves and the place was left looking great! Super impressed. Will continue to refer them to others!

I want to give a big shout-out to JS Group of Companies for the outstanding work they did on our basement. After initially hiring a different local foundation company to handle some wall bracing and dimple membrane work, we were left with over $30,000 in damages, which we had to cover through our homeowner insurance. It was a nightmare.

Thankfully, we found JS Group to take over, and the difference was like night and day. JS installed a complete dimple membrane system with a sump pump to keep water out, fully braced our basement walls with steel supports, and even handled cutting and installing a new basement window to meet code requirements for a bedroom. They added window wells to the new and existing windows, ensuring everything was done right.

The team at JS was awesome. They were clearly very knowledgeable and didn’t cut any corners. Every single day, they came ready to work, took pride in what they were doing, and paid attention to the details. They were also respectful of our home, keeping the work area clean and checking in with us regularly. Anytime we had questions, they gave honest answers and made sure we felt confident in the work being done.

In the end, JS left us with a quality job that we trust. We couldn’t be happier with their work and only wish we’d gone with them from the start!

I had experience with another basement contractor who was trying to get by on incomplete work and not following the engineers plans until questioned. I hired JS to complete the work and they were so professional I noticed immediately the difference including their non-patronizing way of communication. For the next job I had - replacement of the outside sewer line and complete replacement of my old inside iron sewer lines I did not bother with estimates from others as I knew I could trust JS. Once you have had a bad experience you know how important that trust is as so much can be hidden and not seen. They did an excellent job inside and out. I am very glad I chose them and would recommend to others. Thanks JS!

We recently June/July 2024 had the privilege of major work done by JS group of companies. Whole foundation dug out and water proofed, front wall of house braced on inside, dirt crawl space levelled and vapour barrier installed, spray foam insulation in crawl space and front wall and sump pump too! Before hiring, JS we had 2 other quotes done, but went with JS because we only had to hire 1 contractor for all the work, and were reasonable with pricing. They are also BBB registered!! I’m not sure of exact position of all the workers, Steven was the initial contact or should I say the women in the office answering the phone was initial contact (sorry can’t remember her name), and any questions or issues would phone her first. Steven did the quote and all the follow up. When work started was introduced to Cody as site manager. Kudos to all of the staff and very hard working group of people!! Total work took about 3 weeks to complete. It rained heavily the whole time they were digging around foundation of the house. VERY muddy. Since work has been done we have had NO rain. Go figure. Would love some rain to settle the dirt around foundation of the house! Would Highly recommend this company for the great quality of work in a timely manner.

I highly recommend this company! The contractor doing the estimate was very knowledgeable and had studied the engineer's report before the appointment. I received the quote the next day and a follow-up phone call a few days later to inquire if I had any questions. They work was completed to the exact specifications in the engineer's report. The company was very flexible with timelines and was able to complete extra work when requested.
