We look at the floor in person before we recommend anything. Refinishing comes in three sanding levels. The basic one uses a belt sander, an edger and a buffer. The top level adds the Lagler Trio, a fine sanding machine that takes out the marks a big sander leaves behind. Every job runs on HEPA vacuums, and we cover open areas with plastic film. That setup stops up to 90 to 95% of the dust, and we don't charge extra for it. The finish also decides whether you can stay home during the job. Bona Traffic HD and Bona Mega One are water-based, so you can. Oil-based Bona Woodline means everyone has to be out. Stains are Bona DriFast: 24 colors that can be mixed with each other. For installation we use Select and Better lumber, let it acclimate for several days, and check the subfloor with a moisture meter before the first board goes down.
