Edit to Add 7/14/26: No one from Peerless has reached out to me, despite the reply to my review stating they would (2+ months ago). Their replies to bad reviews are just to save face. They have no intention of actually correcting the problem.

Craig was our salesman. He talked me out of a cedar fence. He showed me pictures on his phone of cedar fences crumbling and said that pine was the best way to go (later found out from people at his company that that was not true). His energy was very used car salesman. He brought his dog to the first meeting to quote the fence, let him roam around my property without a leash and then pee on my bush right next to us. Very professional, huh? He also took out vinyl slats of my backyard neighbors fence to show me how poor quality their fence was. I had to tell him to put it back before my neighbors saw a hole in their fence and him holding it in his hands. I offered to obtain my own permit from the village. I told him i had done several that month already for other projects and was very familiar with the process. He told me no and then took over a week to submit the permit request to the village. I couldnt schedule the install until he got the permit. Then he got my order wrong - wrong layout and wrong height of the gate and surrounding area. When someone from peerless called to schedule the install, i told them it was wrong. They said he would have to fix it before we can schedule the install. The peerless employee emailed him and he never responded. I ended up having to text him to let him know they were trying to get ahold of him. He then proceeds to tell me that's not true, they can get ahold of him if they want. He said that he didnt need to fix the order/plan and that i can just tell the crew when they show up what it's supposed to be (mind you the height was wrong and the layout). I got in touch with a very nice man named Peter who took care of it himself because he said it needed to be done before they showed up to ensure they had the right material. Then the fence was installed and the quality of the fence was TERRIBLE. The boards were cut awful (jagged pieces), the spacing between the boards was nowhere near consistent and some were too far apart (confirm by someone with the company). They didnt have the stamps on the lumber facing inward, so I have some boards with stamps on them (how hard is it too look at a board before you nail it?!) Also multiple people from the company told me i should have gone with cedar, and not pine like the salesman talked me into. After a few months I couldn't stand the fence anymore and reached out to Peter. He was super kind and accommodating and remedied the situation right away. He sent someone back out and put 2x4s over each seam of the fence (it doent look like a normal fence but its much better than it was). Also their "premium" posts that i apparently paid extra for (thanks scummy salesman) are horrendous. Terrible cutting job (looks like someone used a butter knife to cut it) and it just has a big cutout at the top of the post. Thats the premium post. Now here we our 1.5 years later and one of the posts is warped. Its bending like a carrot stick would when it soaks up a lot of water. Its making my fence lean. I called peerless and they want $450 (!!!!) to fix their crappy fence because warped wood isnt part of the warranty! What a rip off! I wish I never went with Peerless and I advise everyone to stay away from them!! I can't seem to post pictures with my review, but wish I could!

Peerless Fence was a very good company to work with. I had met with three other fence companies prior to Craig Davis from Peerless. He was at once interested in our project and gave us lots of information and suggestions. We decided to engage Peerless a few minutes into the appointment with Craig, having seen the other fence companies who were not as informative or interested in our business. Craig told us he could take care of getting the permits and gave us a copy of the estimate. We had originally thought about a vinyl fence but Craig's suggestion of a treated wooden fence was much more to our liking. The installation crew was very good at moving along with the project and cleaned up after themselves, including the flags from Julie. We are impressed with the finished fence and it looks great. I recommend Peerless without any reservations.

Was referred to Peerless by a family member who works with them a lot through his job and says they stand by their work. Once I had permits (which they offered to help with but the process was seamless), they had already ordered the materials and were ready to go; they had it up much quicker than expected. I had approved inspections from the village in my inbox that morning! Great quality and really pleasant to work with everybody there, from sales to scheduling to the crew on site. Really pleased with this experience!

Everything from the sales process to receiving informative email updates, to scheduling, and finally installation was so smooth and so professional. After receiving a few quotes, I chose Peerless because the level of information I received from them and the locking technology of their fence made it an easy decision. On the day of install, they were right on time (even slightly early!), were friendly, absolutely knew what they were doing and our lead PM the day of, Manuel, was in communication throughout the day. We love our new fence and are so happy we went with Peerless.

Could not be happier with our new fence. Lee was very helpful in getting us the quote and once we received the permits he was able to get our fence installed within a couple days. The installers were very professional and did a great job with the installation and clean up. The photos don't do it justice!
