This service is best suited for basements, bathrooms, closets, and garages that have unused space suited to a sauna conversion. The end result is a room that can gain a year-round sauna without weather exposure, built with the vapour barrier and ventilation done correctly the first time, which Marin homeowners benefit from given the county's damp, foggy climate. It's worth noting that the vapour barrier is installed to keep moisture out of the surrounding framing, and ventilation is routed so the room breathes properly rather than stratifying, and the team walks Fairfax homeowners through the process before any work begins. Common warning signs that a property needs attention include an underused basement or spare room, an existing indoor sauna with a musty smell, or framing that shows signs of past moisture damage. Marin Sauna has completed projects throughout Fairfax and the broader Marin County region, from basement conversions to commercial wellness suites. Read more
