Originally built in 1931, and rebuilt after being destroyed in a fire in 1933, this one/two room school served the families of the small remote community of Quatsino until being voted closed in 2008 by Board members of SD#85.
Attracting young families into the community, to meet the 8 student minimum required enrollment, in order to reopen the school has been a challenge.
A School is the heart of a community. We miss it greatly.
