I was especially drawn to surgery because it allows me to make a tangible difference in a patient's health while combining creativity, flexibility, and technical skill. There is rarely a "one-size-fits-all" solution, and I enjoy using my broad skill set to select the treatment that is best suited to each individual patient. I believe in treating my patients the same way I would want a member of my own family treated. My goal is to ensure patients feel heard, understand their diagnosis, and feel comfortable asking questions. I explain treatment options in clear, straightforward language and work collaboratively with each patient to develop a plan that reflects their medical needs, goals, and lifestyle. When surgery is appropriate, I prioritize safe, evidence-based care and use minimally invasive techniques whenever they offer a meaningful benefit. My clinical interests include robotic and minimally invasive general surgery, complex hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction, foregut surgery, breast cancer, gallbladder disease, appendicitis, and other common emergency general surgery conditions. I enjoy caring for patients with both common and complex surgical conditions and tailoring the operative approach to each person. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my husband and going on adventures with our Golden Retriever. My hobbies include windsurfing, scuba diving, hiking, gardening and collecting tropical plants, as well as creative pursuits such as sewing and quilting. Read more
