The school is clean and bright and they have qualified teachers. All four of my children are there and I would not pick anywhere else to bring my child.

When it came time to find child care for our children we went to every daycare and Montessori school in Ajax/Pickering. The Montessori Learning Centre was the best!! This school is excellent. The teachers are caring, loving and focus on strong academics. The class sizes are small and the teachers are incredibly attentive. I wonder if the original poster was talking about a different school because we have never witnessed any of their claims. We have been with the school for 6 years and would never put our children anywhere else.

I have observed classes staying unsupervised for more than half an hour in the school and teachers vacuuming in front of the children. In addition, the principal asks the kids misleading questions and calls the Children's Aid Society to report kids going to this school. She calls CAS workers to come to the school and talk to the children. Do not pay for this "service"!
They are not a member of the Canadian Montessori Association either and none of the teachers have any post-secondary education.Keep in mind that elementary private schools are not inspected by the ministry of Education! Avoid them by all means. Academically they are very weak as well and your child will be going to a bad daycare at the age of 6-12 yrs!
