when i was at rideau, it was a healthy work environment and i beleive that i got quite a bit accomplished in those few years i spent there. Most of the teachers were nice and some of them were a bit strict, which is to be expected. If you ask me Rideau would be an awesome place to send your children if you want them to learn french or if you just want them to be in an all-english class.
