Listed In: Hair Styling Schools
Wherever there are successful hairdressers there is Marvel. Marvel has been the leader in the industry for over 90 years and has trained more top hairstylists than anyone else in the industry.

I am a former hairstylist and I wouldn't recommend Marvel to my worst enemy. I went into the school in Chatham and should have turned right around, the so called stylists were more interested in texting or themselves and the so called teacher wasn't supervising. I had a chemical treatment...I asked for pick streaks. What I was given is too hard to explain but I left the school VERY unhappy and looking like some sort of a backwards yellow skunk. All I can say is I did learn a valuable lesson. NEVER GO BACK TO MARVEL which is sad because I was once a student.

Its not a school its a business, they send the students home if they are 5 min late and wont let you in without a note even if your not sick, (adult school)and at the end of 10 months if your hours short they charge you $33 for every day you missed. they train you 1 month and than put you on the floor to do paying clients without teaching something new for months. No Schedule's.THey charge $1620.00 for a kit thats worth less then $500, with the cheapest tools ( the scoissers are worthless)
the teachers are very rude to the students, demand respect, but dont respect the student back. students are talked down to.
I wouldnt recomend this school to anyone. its not the Marvrl it used to be!!
