My children attended their after school daycare many years ago, located in Buchanan school. Unsure if they are still operating there but I cannot say enough negative about this family and their care of the children. Arla (and her mother Joyce) was horrendous, treated parents poorly, didn't train staff adequately, and the whole daycare was poorly organized. At one time, a staff member encouraged my child to break a school rule (around visiting her during school hours to say hi), they lost payments, denied snacks for no apparent reason, and did not document injuries/incidents between children. They would close for a week with almost no notice, leaving parents in the lurch for care. Kids were bored and often went, unsupervised, through other kids' backpacks, stealing things. I still think about our horrible experiences there and want to warn parents to AVOID this daycare if there is any possible way. They DO NOT CARE about your kids. As I was, at that time, a low-income parent, I understand how hard it is to find other options. That said, reflecting back, I would definitely have taken my children out of there immediately, if I could go back and change things. I urge you to not place your kids in their care.
