Sure, there are some great deals here, but don't be fooled. All of their stuff is used.
It takes a keen eye to spot the discrepancies. I was looking at some shirts, like "hum dee dum, looking at some shirts", and then I just had this feeling something was wrong. Like a detective, I delved deeper into the little details. My instincts told me to look at the tags. Penmans. The Gap. American Eagle. B.U.M. Billabong. What the heck? One of the shirts had a little stain. Hey, last time I checked, new clothes don't have mustard stains on them. Nice try!
Look at the toys. I was looking for some stuff for my baby. It's not even in packaging. What if another baby puked on that castle set? You want my baby to eat some other baby's puke? You want my baby to eat a piece of poo from some other baby that smeared poo on a toy? I don't think so! What are you - crazy?

"Hey, last time I checked, new clothes don't have mustard stains on them. Nice try! " Value Village is a secondhand store, nor have the claimed to have an entirely new stock. You must be thinking of places like Winners, where they get over stock from other stores and the likes. Value Village is where people donate their lightly used clothes so that someone else can use them, rather than the clothes being thrown away. When I change my clothing style, I always take my older clothes there; I'd rather someone be able to wear it than have them just go to the dump. They may be used, but you can always wash them when you get home... wouldn't you do that anyway? You can find really great deals and unique items that no one else has. I love this store.
