This is the second time I visited the store. Both times the staff have been extremely rude. I was told to go down the street and get sketcher shoes. I work in the public and I find there customer service to be extremely poor. I wouldn't be going there again and word of mouth is how you lose customers.

My wife has been buying her shoes here for years. I recently went in and bought a pair of really comfortable shoes. When I first walked into the store I was shocked to see just how much selection they had at there warehouse location. I was able to walk around and try on a few pairs I liked and when I found the one for me, I asked one of the staff for some help and she found my size.
There prices are the best I've seen around. I highly recommend checking it out! I will definitely be returning!

I bought a black pair of Rohde sandals , when I started wearing them the sole of my feet looked all black . No I don't have sweaty feet .When I went there and complained
I was told black leather bleeds there is nothing he can do . My dress shoes that have a black sole inside never gave me black feet and either did my black purses bleed .This is a lot of bull he gave me .
The next day I called Germany they told me the leather probably was not treaded right and to get in touch with there supplier in Canada which I did . He assured me he will look after it and get either new insoles or another sandal .
This should have been his job the guy that works there .I worked in retail many years and would have never treated my customers this way , I would have looked in to it and see what we can do about it . Well I will never buy shoes there again and either will my friends .

Many companies avoid using harsh chemicals in their die anymore. Vegetable died leather MAY bleed !!! This woman came in complaining that her white socks turned black when wearing her sandals !!! She was given new socks and we explained the dying procedure. Who wears white socks with black sandals ????? LOL

I purchased a pair of Mephisto sandals back in 2010 on the advice of my family doctor from this particular location. The consultation I received from the lady that served me was by far the best I've had. I wear these sandals 99% of the time from early May to late October which you can imagine should have lots of "wear & tear". These sandals have been in the Caribbean Ocean, Adriatic Sea and some lakes around Ontario. The soles are still in excellent condition however, I had to buy a new pair now :(. My daughter's dog decided to chew half of one of the sandals :(. I received an email for an additional $20 off of the sale price on Mephisto's sandals which expired 3 days prior to my returning from out of province :(. I called the store and spoke to a lady named Diane and explained my situation. Diane said, "that's ok. I'll still honour your coupon if you purchase by June 20th. Just show coupon to cashier." Well, I called Diane on June18th, had her set aside my sandals & when I went to pick up on June 20th, everything went according to her instructions. I will never use any other shoe place but here for my quality shoes. Thank you Diane and the staff at Ingeborgs :)

I had a great experience! salesladies were very helpful- it was my first experience with orthotics & I got lots of very helpful advice. I now have VERY comfortable shoes that have worn well & were much less expensive than at other stores.

On Saturday, Aug.30.2014, 2:15pm, I bought a defective pair of shoes and found that out 1.5 hours after purchase. I tried to get it repaired or replaced. The repair man tried to repair it and was it was unsuccessful. He started to give me a whole lot of reasons that my foot was the problem, it is a wide shoe that did not match the other, that it was a matching pair that he could not replace. When I told him that was unfair and why are we having this discussion and I felt robbed, he threatened to take me out side to fight. I left immediately and he followed me outside the store, so I called him an A-hole outside. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE AS THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR PRODUCTS AND THEY THREATEN TO PHYSICALLY FIGHT YOU.

As the manager of ingeborgs, I have to say the scenerio did not exactly play out like this. The " repair man " indeed did say for you to take this outside, however not to fight. It was due to you yelling in the store and calling him a robber !!! However, saying this, it is unfortunate that this situation arrose. The saleswoman who sold you the shoe or the lady that brought it to the " repair mans" attention, should have dealt with this situation. At no point were we made aware that the shoe was purchased only an hour prior. This would have changed everything. We appologize for this mistake. If you Mr. TEXY123 happen to read this, please bring the shoe back for a refund. But please admit, that no one threated to actually fight you. We have been just voted one of Oakvilles favorite shoe stores for the 8th year in a row. There is a reason for this and we feel that comments posted like this are unfair.

Bought a size 4 Legero shoe this spring - have worn them continually and decided to get another pair in July. Greeted immediately by sales rep at the door. She checked her stock - sadly no more in her warehouse - but there was another pair in London Ontario. She asked that they be driven down to the Mississauga store. Got a call the very next day saying they were in and picked them up the following day.
Few high-end stores would offer such service - and the fact that they did this at a discount warehouse I think is really worth noting.

The Mississauga location has the rudest manager I have ever had seen. His name is Phill and he said he is proud to be rude because he learned the business from his father in law who apparently was a sharp man. Unfortunately Phill does not distinguish a difference between "rude and impolite" and "sharp"....I was so disappointed in his treatment of me as a customer that I still can not believe that there is a sales manager with such poor customer skills. I wanted to talk to his superior and he said that there is no one above him, ACCORDING TO PHILL it is his store and his show, if you like it "like IT", IF YOU DO NOT LIKE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
Until a couple a days ago I would be be recommending this store as the one with very nice and professional staff, but after dealing with Phill I would rate this store with zero "0".

My family and I have been shopping at the warehouse location for years now and have always found the best deals and selection. People don't realize that this is there warehouse. They have other mall locations across Ontario that are just as visually appealing then any other.
They have been in business since 1958 and are still in business for a reason. Do some research and you will find they are always the cheapest. When they first opened they were the only shoe store in Ontario of there kind. Don't let flashy ads fool you, this company started it all

The sales assistant was surly and unhelpful. She obviously hated her job and it felt like she was doing me a favor. Love the shoe selection but left frustrated by the lack of service. Whoever manages this place needs to take a look at how there staff deal with potential customers.

When I asked the saleslady about a sample to see if there was a pair in my size, she looked it up in the inventory and put forth a lot of effort to find it for me. She found it!!! Also, she was willing to let me make a quick local call on their phone but I did get my cellphone working so I didn't need to bother her. I also liked the shoe prices.

It was my first time I went in the store and found customer service below expectation. Staff not friendly at all. I managed to find a pair of shoes for a great price and was happy with the deal I got. Will I go back? May be????

I've purchased 7 or 8 pairs of Mephisto shoes from this company over the last 2 years and the shoes have been outstanding. The last pair I purchased (March 2011) had been worn about 15 times within 2 months when the tops began to split open. There was no hole...just a splitting around the front half of the shoe...both shoes!! I brought them back to the store and they sent them to Toronto for 'observation'. I just received a call and was told they were not defective. I asked the sales lady what her opinion was regarding the shoes...not Toronto's opinion. The same lady that helped me purchase the same 7 or 8 pairs now told me she was not authorized to discuss this with me, was just relaying the information and had 2 customers she had to help. Bye!! Obviously not a good ending. Would I buy shoes from Ingeborg again. Never. Will I tell everyone I know about this experience...yes. I see over a 100 patients a week and be sure that everyone will hear this story and I'll even mention the store/saleslady by name. Even the best shoes in the world may have the occassional problem. Mephisto is not the issue. Ingeborg dropped the ball on this and won't do anything about it. At $300 plus a pair for these shoes I think Ingeborg needs to have a little more respect for their loyal customers.

The ingeborg shoe store was a great store. When I walked in I found a pair of berkinstocks for half the price of what they are sold for in other shoe stores. I also found a pair of real uggs that were selling for about 75 dollars less then what I paid for mine.
