Devonshire Mall Dollars AKA Gift Cards lose their value even though an anti expiration law became in effect October 1 2007. Your gift cards are penalized over time when not used. A friends Gift Card went from approx. $20-$25 down to $6. This doesn't seem right or legal to me!

I've done some research and it seems that any Mall issued gift card can be penalized after 18 months if there are any unused funds. Of all the people I have talked to, no one knew about this. I think people need to become aware that even though a gift card cannot expire, it can still be reduced in value.
