Supportive counselling is available to help individuals and their families find solutions to problems of everyday living. Restoration to enable independent functioning by providing coping strategies, information on communication devices and emotional support, as well as, referral services and consumer advocacy. <p> Hearing Care Counselling Program (HCCP) assists seniors who are hard of hearing(over 55 years of age) who are having difficulty adjusting to a hearing loss. Services provided include home visits, education and communication devices. The Hearing Care Counsellors are available by appointment only. <p> If needing a sign language interpreter, contact the Assignment Coordinator in the Hamilton Region office. <p> The Communication Devices and Accessibility Centre is located at the Brantford office. The centre displays alarm systems, amplified telephones, vibrating watches, alarm clocks and assistive listening devices for TV for sale to the public and businesses. Read more
