Be aware of this storage business . Maybe it’s typical with storage places but , the management was very rough and defensive any time I mentioned anything like : when notice mice droppings in the unit the guy surely said “ there’s mice in all kitchen restaurants “ and so on.(btw we lost furniture stored in our unit ) He has no manners on how to deal with customers . Plus NEVER GIVE them your Credit CARD! They use it to make unauthorized charges in our case they kept changing monthly charges back and forth without our knowledge.
But yet they are very adamant about their rules. Although I gave notice way bf 2 weeks (standard) they still charged for one month .
And the $ 25.00 security deposit you pay at the beginning of lease they basically forgot to credit to my account. 2 months later I called and ask about the lady told she would have to look into paper file because she could not longer see my account !! Not surprised I never heard from her or received any $ so I called again and start all over again…
Sorry this is so long but PLEASE BE CAREFUL stay away from Budget Mini Storage it’s not worth it .

They were great to deal with, always quick to answer any and all questions. The facility is clean and well taken care of. They actually answer the phone, and respond back to email quickly!

Dorothy was so helpful and friendly. When finding the right size unit for my needs she was so pleasant and took the time to show me a few units, explained the promos.

If I ever need storage in the lower mainland again, I would call them first, with zero hesitation!

I had a very disappointing experience with this storage company. When I moved out, I was told the manager would inspect the unit within 2 weeks and that if it was scrubbed and left in perfect condition, my damage deposit would be refunded by cheque. I was also told I would not be contacted with any issues. If I didn’t receive a cheque, it would simply mean they decided work was needed.

I never received my deposit back. When I followed up, I was told there were “scratches,” “black marks,” and that the floor wasn’t washed or swept. This is frustrating because I did sweep the unit and made sure no garbage was left behind. No photos or proof were ever provided to support their claims.

The lack of communication, transparency, and evidence makes this process feel very unfair. It seems like an easy way for them to keep deposits without accountability. I would not recommend this place unless you’re prepared to possibly lose your deposit.

I have been along time customer of Budget Mini Storage for 18 years. Unfortunately, due to recent company changes, I had to cancel my storage unit.
Throughout all these years, Doug and Carol have been exceptional operators. They consistently went above and beyond, even assisting with unexpected deliveries. Their dedication to customer service has always been impressive.
The storage facilities have always felt secure, and on the rare occasions when I forgot to lock my unit, they promptly contacted me and ensured it was secured.
I have nothing but great things to say about Budget Mini Storage and the outstanding team running it. Highly recommended!

We're 3 years and counting and been very loyal to this company but this review is about the experience we had last Saturday. Very poor customer service and was very displeased by the way the resident "manager" Doug handle our concern. We went to bring some of our stuffs like winter clothes only to find out that our unit has tons of dust and so white from the hallway to our unit. The next door unit someone was doing the floor with this tool what have you, in short doing some work. He is aware and for sure he sees that the partition or wall is not from the floor to the ceiling and that explains the DUSTs and debris. We then went to the office to speak to the Manager, only to find out was their Manager - Doug doing some work. He should've put some plastic or coverings on the top ceiling if he knows that he'll be doing some massive clean up or work. The lady accompanied us back to the unit where the work is done as we want the unit clean. How Dough handle the situation was so unprofessional and with lack of customer service which is contradicting to what you have in your website! He didn't even apologize and said he don't have a vacuum right away and we have to come back to have it clean as we are not comfortable leaving our keys to them. The way he talks to us, so frustrating. IT's as if we're the one causing and giving them inconvenience. That speaks volume and as the name goes,, we get what we paid for. It's called Budget for a reason.. very poor customer service with no empathy.
