Very good customer service. Rushed to this location on August 1st after another U-Haul service point had a major bottleneck and was unable to provide us with a van after waiting for over an hour to pick our reservation. Unfortunately, once we picked the van at DDO, the right turn signal was about to go and was working half the time when i needed to navigate traffic, a bit dangerous to have this on a large vehicle that gets operated by drivers that are not used to driving vehicles of this size. I'd suggest going through a full checklist routinely to catch these issues promptly. Otherwise the vehicle was in a great state, clean, only 25000 km on the dash.

You can rent all kind of U-Haul cars with different capacities that you need for your stuffs .

I would strongly suggest hiring an additional staff member if possible. This isn’t the first time I’ve come in and found no one at the front desk—I’ve had to wait over 30 minutes on multiple occasions.

I understand that the evening employee is an older gentleman, and I don’t place blame on him. However, I did rent a trailer from him for two days, and although he checked everything, the lights were not working when I received it. While traveling to Quebec City, I was pulled over due to the issue and had to wait overnight before I could continue safely during the daytime.

We used U-Haul in DDO. Everything went well even the little hiccup with the first truck but they gave us a second truck and a helper. No fuss. On the road to NS and the drive went well.

Absolutely worst customer service. Rented a van for 8am through mobile pickup (no need for interaction with the staff, just use the app). I get there and start the process in the app, it tells me where my van should be (wasn't exactly at that spot but close enough). However, there was a wall of cubes blocking the van, boxing it in. I leave the checkout process and go to online chat. Their customer service reps were beyond useless, saying I'd basically need to call a number to get someone to move the trucks but that number only came into service at 9am which is also when the staff would get there anyways. I rented the truck for 4 hours and would now be stuck with only 3 hours to do the move if I had to wait for 9am. Was finally able to find an employee who had come in early and get him to move the cubes.
Why have the mobile pickup if you're going to hide the van behind a bunch of cubes? Why have a customer service reps who redirect you to a phone number they know is not in service at that time just to close the chat? Never again. I've had mediocre experiences with u-haul before but they've hit a new low.
Got a customer survey by email, was asked from 1 to 5 stars what I rated them, said 1, it then asked what I liked about the experience, said only the young man who helped me get my van out, was expecting a box asking how they could have done better but no, they just wanted the praise part in the survey. That's an absolute joke).
Seems like owner/operator only responds to 5 star reviews. Challenging them to say something, anything to customers that don't have a "5 star" experience - BTW, I'm not shy to give 5 stars, out of my 115 reviews in google maps, most are 5 stars.

Most of then storage space and office space have listed dimensions bigger than they actually are. for example an office space list at 15 x 20 SF, is actually 11 x 16. when asked why such mistake they say all dimensions are estimates. What a joke. I guess most people don;t measure the room before renting. Avoid this location at DDO the staff are not helpful at all once you sign the contract, they get the money, they don't give a damn about you. If you absolutely have to rent the space make sure you measure the room before.
