my mothers seeing eye cat got stuck in a tree and when no other tree service would come Davey did. I even helped with the rescue so i have only good things to say about DAVEY!!!!!

In 2008 I had booked Davey Tree service to come prune some of my trees. A few days after they were scheduled to prune, nothing had been done, so I phoned to check. They said they'd check and get back to me. They didn't. A couple weeks later I called again. Again they said they'd check and back to me. They didn't. A couple months later, a bill arrived for the pruning which still hadn't been done. I sent an email (via the davey website, so I don't have a copy - dumb) saying it wasn't done, I wasn't going to pay, and *not* to come and do it now. They called to discuss, I told them they weren't done, they said they'd come and "check". They said when I'd called earlier to check, when they looked it up to see when, it was marked as done. It never occurred to them to call me and confirm that.

A few days later, suddently my trees had been pruned! I didn't pay, but six months later they came back for the money, and since I couldn't produce the email telling them not to, and their guy conveniently couldn't remember seeing it, I paid (with a whopping 10% discount) to avoid the hassle.

Davey will never get my business again.
