Doug Panchuk and shurwood forest did a wonderful job at 93 and 95 Manford close . They completed the job without an issue . They took my disastrous property that I recently purchased and turned it into a good clean place , with absolutely no overgouth . They are very responsible with prices and will most likely give you a deal on tree trimming and cut downs no one else will in the city of Winnipeg. My advice is call Doug and get a quote, I stand by his work and probably nicest guy you will meet .please find attached before and after pictures to show the extent of the beautiful work Doug does ..

I don't know if this is the tree removal company owned by Doug Panchuk but I would beware if so. He won't be the guy on site. No one cares about a job except either a business owner and/or the home owner. Sure some of his workers were good but a leader needed to be on site in which case was the homeowner. The kids don't know because they don't have the experience to know everything or what the action plan is. Some were very good kids, hard workers but make mistakes which is why the owner should be on site at times at the very least. They were left with no direction sometimes. He may be able to get the job by making contact and he has the equipment, however he feels he is doing you a favour despite hiring him. He caused a rift by mentioning how the trees will be felled then to surprise how that actually will go for neighbours which had to be mitigated by me to make an excuse for. That wasn't good business practice. What is 5 day job took 2 months meaning 3 days here, 3 hours there and another day a month later etc. Damage was done even if you accept that what is done is done, and you let him know he will get fast talking and talk to you like you don't know anything. He will be rude and abrupt also gaslight you in the mix. He has no problem being lowbrow. He mentioned he would be entering one way but went a different way which is acceptable but it caused damage to the yard which he said he would fix but did not. He also didn't do what he said he would do and said it wasn't worth his time to fix up. Some trees like 3 in total were wrecked and destroyed unnecessarily but it wasn't his work. He hired someone else as I gather a contract who doesn't work for him as the main tree fell guy who didn't want to be on site. I paid this guy for what he quoted me despite many advisors saying not to. At the very least I should've taken off what out of pocket expenses I am paying for having the yard back to as it was. Odd thing is his demeanour cost him future jobs with me and for all that I will tell how this guy acts. ( I have another property) Should've known by his fast talking and prompt sales pitch. I also don't like writing a bad review this is the first I have ever written. If you look up the courts you will see he has been sued for damages in the past. I guess it's expected at times but a person of honour wouldn't need to wait to be taken to court to do the right thing and they certainly would be apologetic not offensive like he was.

Beware!! I would never use this firm. Hired them to remove a large Elm tree Paid up front (foolishly) They did half the work, half the tree is still standing, all the Elm wood is still in my yard After dozens of unreturned calls. I now have to pay to have the Elm wood disposed because it is illegal to store, and I have to pay another firm to remove the rest of the tree.
