This U-haul location tried to charge me for not filling up the tank when I returned the vehicle. Clearly the owner is out to make a quick buck on customers who are not proactive enough to take pictures of the gas gauge and double check their credit card statements. Even when I tried to resolve with the company; it seemed like they were not interested in having me back as a customer and didn't seem interested in helping me out. Other than that, the truck itself was in good order, clean, but just be aware that they are not looking out for you, rather they just want your money. There is a budget location to rent on 16th ave that I would go to next time.

I originally had a reservation with the location in Calgary Kensington for 1 PM on Saturday. I got to the location at 12:30 (30 min early) and was told that my reservation was changed to 2:30 and that equipment would not be available until this time. They did not notify me that there was a change in my equipment reservation in turn I could not reschedule the day with either the new time or a different company. This put us out greatly as we only had the afternoon to move. I told them that since the reservation was now so late I would just move with pick up trucks and did not need the equipment. The response was that I was going to be charged a cancellation fee???? They made the mistake and I was going to be charged for it. I called Uhaul and they found equipment for me on the opposite side of the city!!! There was a reduction in my km fee from 69 cents to 45 cents a km to make up for the difference in distance. In conclusion my time is valuable and when I make a commitment I keep it and expect nothing less from other especially a large corporation. At the very least a timely notification could have been sent so I could figure something out. I will not ever use this company again regardless of the km price decrease. Moving is a stress filled event and does not need to be made worse by a irresponsible renal company!! I will add the staff at Meridian Rd did get me in equipment in a timely matter so if you have to get Uhaul equipment I highly recommend getting it from this location. If my review was done on the Kensington location I rate it very poor as an understatement and feel based on the other reviews of this location needs to be either relocated or given better management.
