Six fully certified mechanics and 10 service bays are available to meet the needs of most every repair a truck or trailer may need. Two of the bays are drive thru type and can accommodate the largest of tractor-trailer units. Our well-trained, licenced technicians receive additional training on an ongoing basis. <p> Emergency Road Service: Our service department is rounded off with a new and well-equipped service unit. This truck equipped with an 8,000 lb Crane, 200 amp welder, oxy-acetylene torches, 12-24 volt booster system, hydraulically driven air compressor and a large variety of common service tools. The storage compartments are full of the most popular service parts and misc. hardware, hoses and brass fittings. This unit is kept ready to roll on a 24-hour a day basis. <p> Towing and Recovery: The Towing and Recovery division of Northland is a very important and busy part of our operation. Our fleet of tow vehicles currently includes a fully equipped 940 Vulcan Recovery Unit and a single axle Western Star with a 20 ton NRC wrecker. The single axle, being a handy but short 200" wheelbase is generally the first responder for minor truck recovery work due to the limited room on our narrow and hilly road network. For the really heavy jobs the 940 Vulcan with a Rated capacity of 45 Tons takes over. Read more
