Went to take our dog into the vet. They didn't listen to anything we had to say. It took us 2 weeks to make this hard decision and they made us feel like shit for this difficult decision. Thank you kailee price for the worst vet visit I have ever had.

Every time I have any questions about my pet or their food, the staff is always right there to help. In addition, their online store is very user friendly for me to use which is great.

I took my friendly lab for treatment for a injury he got at a kennel that gives business to this Vet office, I reported the injury to the SPCA, on investigation by the SPCA the vet office called it a chronic problem. My dog has never had this issue before, how can this be a chronic? Mckenzie Veternary is in direct conflict of interest with Pet Pamering kennel, which SPCA agreed. I would never recomend this office to anyone.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with McKenzie Veterinary. I phoned the clinic to inquire about their mobile services. We have a terminally ill dog and we wanted to make alternate arrangements in case the inevitable happens when our fantastic vet (who has agreed to help him transition peacefully at home) is on vacation.

When I asked if the vet could come over to meet with us beforehand, she said in a very condescending tone that it was not possible because they don’t work for free. The comment boggled my mind, I never expected “free” service. In fact, we have interviewed 2 amazing vets who came over to our home and one of them actually didn’t want to charge us but we insisted in compensating them for their time and we did. I have no idea why the receptionist assumed I was looking for “free” service.

She then proceeded to tell me that the mobile vets are very busy and that I would have to wait until one was in my area and she didn’t know when that would be. She was incredibly unhelpful, uninterested and unfriendly. I asked to speak to the manager. I was on hold for almost 10 minutes and they never came to the phone.

I’ve since learned of other very disturbing cases where McKenzie Veterinary have failed to provide adequate service and care for pets and their owners.

I guess it is a good thing their vets are super busy because they will never, ever have my business. Never!

The staff did an amazing job of keeping me completely informed throughout every step of my cat's complicated dental surgery. They also were great about giving me clear instructions for after I took her home.

Dr. Piercy is a fantastic vet. She explained everything to us very clearly, listened to our concerns, and answered all of our questions. I couldn't be happier.

Had a situation with a dog we adopted through them. We finally got it solved, pretty much accidentally, after which they were completely patronizing, they refused to admit any responsibility, wouldn't even listen to our side of the story, and they flat out refused to apologize, even after I directly asked for an apology. After we are done with what we have already been charged for, we will not be stepping through those doors again.

Our pet needed an emergency appointment. They got us in early, the procedure was well performed and costs were reasonable. Lucky that this also happens to be the clinic nearest to my home and office!

"Mobile Vet"... yah, right.... when it's convenient for them.... but that's only part of the story.
My dear sweet cat Emmie was diagnosed with diabetes by Dr. Malcolm Macartney... well actually he was ready to give up when I asked him.. "do you think she might have diabetes". In other words people... I had to tell him how to do his job.
He pulled out his glucose meter and tested her and sure enough 28.6 (should be around 4). He decided it was okay to wait a week before starting treating her... personally I wanted to start treating her that very moment... or at least the next day.
One week later he and his assistant arrive and one of the first things out of his mouth is "I can't stay long I have a very sick dog back at the clinic". Well gee Dr., I have a REALLY sick cat right here that I am paying you to be thinking about right now.... is what I wish I had said at the time. I was so shocked by his "unthinking" remark I could not respond.
So, I get rushed through the injection process... and the rest is up to me.
Weeks later, he asks me to do several glucose readings in one day and report in to him the following Tuesday, then he would get back to me with advice as where to go from there. He NEVER called me! Not only that... the person who took the message got the information totally wrong... either that or the Dr. didn't take the time to read the message properly.
He finally got back to me 3 days later (Friday) after I sent him a very desperate email telling him things were getting very bad. He suggested that perhaps she was resistant to the insulin because she actually had pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, this time, I believe he was correct.
The next morning (Saturday) Emmie is dying... she was in pain and crying... I call the "Mobile" Vet... "oh, we don't come out on weekends". Ah, excuse me?, is what I again wish I had said... but I was distraught and crying and said I HAD to have someone come out and stop her suffering. She put me on hold and when she came back she said that the only Dr. available was in surgery but would come out right after.
Two hours later, my friend phones the Vet as I cannot leave Emmie's side, (thank goodness I had two good friends with me at the time), the Vet had either forgotten or just didn't care because the Dr. was on his way to another house call! He was told what was happening and we were told he would be right here. A half hour later, still no Dr. and I had to watch my dear sweet Emmie suffer through a painful death.
My other friend phoned the Vet and informed them that they had taken too long to get here and the cat was now dead.

So I lost my girl last Saturday (May 23rd)... Rest In Peace Emmie my love.

What else can I say... go somewhere else... unless maybe you have a dog... they seem to take priority here.
By the way I love ALL animals.... I am one of those people that prefer the company of animals over humans.
If you have a cat though, go to the Hillside Vet or the 24 hour Emergency Hospital... in my lifetime experience with cats I have found these two to be consistent with quality care and kind and understanding staff.
The reason I used a "Mobile" Vet this time is because I live with and caregive for my elderly parents who both suffer from dementia... so it is difficult for me to leave the house.
NEVER AGAIN !!!

Love your animals... they will love you more than any human ever will.
