the attending Vet was a complete bitch never gave me a straight answer and took advantage of me and my family taking us for fools. We brought our 5 month old puppy in on a friday because she wasnt eating or drinking and had to wait 24 hours for any kind of responce. After a day we were told she was fine and we could pick her up, the bill at this time was $80. Being a concerned owner I wanted them to keep observations over the weekend. Monday came and I got a call that my (healthy enough to bring home to my kids)dog crashed and almost died. Later that same day we recieved a bill for $600 dating the Friday the dog had a clean bill of health. Being as I couldent afford $600 I had to sign my dog over to her(However we were never allowed to see our dog since we dropped her off so for all we know our dog was dead). After the dog was signed over I was told she had PARVOL, a condition that is so common that a first day vet student can diagnose it within 10 minutes and this condition only gives a 10% SURVIVAL RATE. All because we are a young family she took advantage of the situation and our dog suffered for it

I am a vet student, and it is most likely that your dog was in a incubation period.. which means your dog was already infected, BUT NOT yet showing signs. I highly doubt a vetinary would take advantage of your situation, that has nothing to do with it, all staff at a vet clinic are there for one reaon to help the animals, because we have a desire and love for all animals. they wouldnt just do that.
