Dr. Tucker and staff are great. Unlike people on here with cats and dogs having an exotic you need a specialized vet, Dr Tucker is that vet. He is the only certified avian vet in our area, much closer then campus estates in Guelph. He has treated our 2 Amazon's and 2 conures. We are very happy. Too those who condemn this clinic for the cost maybe you should not have a pet or get pet insurance

Very Informative and knowledgable about Parrot care.

-Physical Exam
-Fecal smear
Total: $111.87 after taxes

Price was a little high, but fair.
Will definitely continue to use his service in the future.

Thank You Dr Tucker.

You mean vets charge for their services? What a crime! Wake up people. Vets are in the business to make a living just like you and me and everyone else. I read the comments on here about the vets at west London animal hospital charging for their services. What do thoes people expect? To have their pets cared for at no cost? I suppose those people go to their jobs and work for free as well.

Honestly, Dr Tucker is really nice and his staff are nice. But he charges for everything and doesn't fix the problem. He is just like every other vet looking for more money. My bird was looking not so good and I thought she was egg bound so I took her in. As soon as he looked at her he was sure she wasn't egg bound (but did do the x ray anyway and charged 75$). He didn't give me any straight answers and said her poop was an odd color and wanted to to a fecal smear (which of course cost money). And all he said about it was her bacteria levels were wrong. He put her on multivitamins and had me add apple cider vinegar to her water.
I understand that vets need to charge for every service. But why do one if you didn't think it would give you more answers. He's a crook. A nice well mannered crook. But he preys on the weakness that people love their pets. Now I'm sitting here watching my bird pass away after a 230$ visit to the vet not 2 weeks ago. I do NOT recommend this doctor.

Dr Shawn Tucker has been caring for our pets for years. I truly appreciate the time that Dr Tucker takes in ensuring we clearly understand what is going on with our pets and the options that are available to us. He and his staff are caring, personable and approachable. I highly recommend West London Pet Hospital to anyone looking for quality care for their pets.

I have been going to this clinic for years now with my pets (dogs & cats), and you will not find better service. The vets are extremely knowledgable and actually care about their patients. The support staff is awesome - every time I call the clinic they are always so friendly and know who my pets are and the problems they have. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone!

I am absolutely disgusted with west London animal hospital they are more concerned with bleeding you dry for every dime you have then actually caring for their animal patients, they refused to send away test results because of a simply misunderstanding in payment for three days without telling me that was the issue and because of their obtuse behaviour my cat passed away which had they had the result she probably would have been fine. I will never return to this horrid place a recommend you don't either unless you want your animal to die.

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience at this animal hospital. I brought my 5 month old puppy in when she had a serious allergic reaction to something. I arrived a couple minutes after close asking them to please help me. All of the staff were very rude to me and didn't seem to be eager to help at all. Eventually someone went to ask the veterinarian, who refused to help my poor little puppy without charging an extra $50 on top of the $78 emergency fee. I was quite unimpressed with his proposal (as I said before I was a couple minutes past closing time) and reacted with an unimpressed "wow", but money aside, my puppy's health was more important at that point, so I decided to go with it. Once I entered the room, the lady I spoke with about the charging fee went back to speak with the veterinarian as we waited in the room for him to come in. A few moments later, the veterinarian stuck his head in the door and said "if you're going to be like that, get out of here". When I looked at him with confusion, he repeated himself, but this time said "if you're going to be like that, you can get the hell out of here". At this point I was quite disgusted in the fact that he treated me this way, and I was much more concerned about my dog, whose allergic symptoms were quickly worsening. If I wasn't so concerned about my dog I would have said something instead of just getting up and leaving. I've been more shocked than anything that a vet wouldn't want to help my poor puppy, even if it is two or three minutes past the closing time. I ended up going to the animal hospital on Adelaide which everyone was very happy and willing to help my little pup! I know I will not be going back to Nicholl's Animal Hospital ever again.

I'm so delighted to have found Dr. Shawn Tucker - there are so few vets who treat birds. Boyd had a careful, gentle, and thorough check-up. While I hope we won't have to visit again for a long time, it's good to know there's a place I can take my beloved canary if he needs attention.

Many thanks to Dr. Tucker and his helpful staff!

The most incredible team ever! I used to have another vet in town who clearly did not care about my concerns regarding my cats. He was too busy to listen to me when my cat was sick. Thank God I had the foresight to find Nichols, and in particular, Dr. Piera Valenti. She saved my cat and I years of misery by diagnosing his asthma. She listened to me and cared about what happened to my baby. From here on out, any cat I get will only have this great vet team as caregivers!

This team of vet techs and vets is absolutely amazing. They are kind, caring, invested in your fur family members well being and your own piece of mind. I cannot speak more highly of everyone who works there. My dog had surgery on my very sensitive boy and Shawn Tucker and his staff have been incredibly supportive and accommodating during his recovery - including letting my dog stay at the office when a complication arose (nothing they did just one of those odd things that can happen) for the day to ensure his well being. They always go the extra mile (fitting you in last minute or giving you extra appointment time if you have lots of questions) and it shows. I have 2 cats and a dog and will not be taking my fur babies anywhere else. I highly recommend this clinic.

We started with Nicholls when we adopted our parrots. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Shawn Tucker even does at home visits, which makes it easier than transporting 3 parrots. You can see that they actually care about the animals.
