Hi, I am in Scouts right now and have been in the program for 4.5 years and it is a waste of time and money. The leaders do not exclude bullying yet incourge. It is pretty tiring coming home every Wensday night crying.
It is a waste of money. Some people might ask how? I'll tell you how.For the whole year it is about $200.00 and that is in a low income area. Not including money for the Camping ( 8-10 times a year) - $20.00 Uniform- $90.00, Sash-$10.00, Scarf- $10.00, 2 books(which both are needed)-$20.00 And Weekly dues( 40 times a year) - $1.00. After paying $200.00 for the year you think that the uniform and camps would be included but there not. You are spending $570.00 the first year just to join! When you think scouts is a good program it helps problams, it doesnt it causes more.
And this is why I suggest doing something else with your $570.00.
