Im reading alot of lovely reviews however my experience was ALOT different. Firstly I called yesterday and spoke with a gentleman over the phone and gave him the serial number of my apple mac pro 2014... I said that I had just come from Apple eaton centre and that the battery was swollen and didnt turn on. This was after a Genius Bar Diagnostic. He stated approx $300 CA to return it. Well I get there today, and the lady firstly says they do not take computers which don't start(?) Then offers $79.00 which I did not take as I thought that was an insult.

I visited carbon computing and had a terrible experience. Bad customer service and the place just looked ghetto. I came here to write a review but I noticed something worse then my bad review.
It's either 1 star or 5 stars for this place. But looking more carefully I notticed that the 5 star reviews were all from "non-members" and boy are they stunning reviews!!
Tisk tisk carbon....times are that tough that you write your own reviews....for next time at least try to make it sound real.
I've got 65 dollars if you need ;)

Yikes. I bought a drobo here...well a long time ago and things didn't seem too bad. Are there many other places in town that sell apple / media ish stuff? I'd hate to have to go to vistek.

So...I had a problem with carbon computing as they did a simple repair on my computer and I got it back with bigger problems then before. They took no responsibility for it and as a result I shared my bad experience with reviews and spoke to the owner who was in no way a nice man. After my reviews and me barking at them they decided to use my personal information by.........
1 making job interviews for me
2 restaurant reservations
3 billing me for locksmiths I never used.
They like to write reviews for there own business when the majority can't stand them. Read and you will see.
These people need to be shut down and out of our lovely queen street east. But. It seems they are already heading there with stores closing and downsizing.
Carbon. You are messing with the wrong guy.
You have made it my goal to assist an already failing business to close down.
I would visit you personally but I'm enjoying my year vacation in south east Asia. :) keep using my personal information....enjoy.

I was in the market to purchase a Wacom Cintique 24 HD touch. After a lot of Internet searching, I found a company called Vistec. I had planned on purchasing this item there until I stumbled upon the customer ratings, One after another I saw negative feedback with most of the comments surrounded how rude the sales reps were, and the extreme waiting times and just disrespect for the customer. With that in mind I did not want to take a chance on dealing with a company that has such a poor rating, and I did not want to trust them with my $4000+ purchase, should I have a problem... So I continued my search and Found Carbon Computing. I am so glad I did. after a short email surrounding what I was hoping to get and when, the Cintique expert at CC contacted me immediately and helped walk me through the most cost effective way to obtain my product. and was able to save me hundreds of dollars had I chosen my other means of purchasing this item. Once I arrived there, all their staff were very friendly and the Cintique expert "Chad" took the time to go over everything I need to know about the Cintique and what to expect in the future and the best way to get the most out of my purchase for years to come. After helping me put my 85 lb purchase into my van, I was give his card and all his contact information should I have any questions in the future...
Absolutly the best treatment I've ever received at any company. Thanks CC and thanks Chad, I'm looking forward to my next experience at your shop.

Carbon Computing is the best place to buy a computer. They are very knowledgeable, customer service is top notch. Twice I have gone into Carbon Computing minor problems and both times they gave me suggestions to correct the problem instead of trying to sell me something I didn't really need. When I brought my computer in for service everything was covered by my warranty and when I had extra work done on my computer it was done quickly and was done right the first time. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could, they are the best by far. My old Mac is now out dated so it time to get a new one so I'm off to buy another one from them and looking forward to it. Thanks Carbon Computing, keep up the great work!!

I have bought all of my MAC products here, starting with the imac (if you can remember those!) and I think the service at this store is excellent. I'm not sure why or how it got such negative reviews. I refuse to shop at the Eaton Centre, as it is a over-crowded circus with a bunch of kids who have little product knowledge and less customer service skills. I am about to buy another Mac, as it's been 6 years, and I will be returning to Carbon Computing.

Albeit I have been a Mac fanatic since the early 90's I have not purchased much from Carbon Computing in the K-W area as before they arrived there was another major player as the Apple Authorized Dealer for the area.
But recently I went to various Apple Stores in Southern Ontario and to my surprise found the same products at Carbon Computing much cheaper. Blue Snowball USB mic Apple Store: 129.99, Carbon Computing 99.99.
Great staff and support too!

I'm not sure what everyone else here is talking about, but Carbon Computing is one of the only places left where I can get some honest answers about Apple products. I don't like the Apple Store with all the kids who speak the same things, Apple's great this, Apple's great that... but what if Apple's version isn't as good as something else?
I went to Carbon Computing last week, and picked up a sweet MacBook Air 11in machine. The sales staff were extremely helpful, and as I was making the purchase for my company, I was introduced to a corporate salesperson who walked me through the different options and helped me pick me new baby!
Helpful, knowledgable, and I had fun to boot! I would recommend Carbon Computing to anyone who is looking for a Mac!

Ha. I thought it was only me. Because I live close to this store I am sort of forced to go in there once in a while and I always vow never to return. I drive across to China town to avoid these turkeys. Characterizing the staff as "Disinterested" is too kind. As well, never any inventory. It's been at least 3 years and I have not seen any change.
Horrible retailer.

Is it possible to give negative stars? When I brought back the Brother HL 2140 b/w laser printer that was creasing my documents, the patronizing Peter Gress, manager of the Queen St store, said if I wanted better quality, I should upgrade to a better printer. He didn't take me seriously. Actually said, oh, you wouldn't print something for the prime minister on this printer. He refused to exchange it and said they were all like that, I just had to take his word for it ... funny, he didn't look like an oracle. I mean, what kind of crap is that? When I'm ready to upgrade my printer ... or my mac ... or anything else, I'm going to the Mac store at the Eaton Centre ... or Yorkdale ... anywhere but Condescension Computer Inc.

My experience with this reseller was less than stellar. The selection was lacking and the staff seemed disinterested at best. I purchased an iMac and when I got home and opened up my dream machine, it appeared to be a return or maybe a demo model. This was very disappointing and when I tried to return it for a new model I was basically given the proverbial run-around. In my humble opinion I'd recommend bypassing Carbon Computing altogether and heading straight to the Mac source, the Apple Store in Eaton Centre. They went out of their way to serve me and I haven't been back to Carbon since.
