POSSIBLE SCAM ARTISTS: I went in to purchase a product that more than one employee advertised as 149 tax included (I went to look at the product on Saturday and went to purchase it on Sunday). Their website advertised the same product as 129, and when I mentioned this to the employee, he looked slightly uncomfortable and looked at the woman behind the counter and said "i will have to mention this to my boss" but did nothing to change the price or explain the difference. Since the product was 149 and I had recently become a "VIP" member which entitled me to a 10% discount, the few dollars difference was fine for the convenience of having the product at the ready. After returning home I noticed that while the 10% discount was applied (134.95 is 10% less than 149), I was still charged full tax, making my purchase MORE EXPENSIVE then previously advertised (152.50).
I returned today, and the same women that was in the store yesterday told me flat out "we have a policy of not returning money when there is a mistake on the bill" and that the best she can do is reprimand the employee for his mistake. Meaning that even if the store rips off an customer through THEIR MISTAKE, it is store policy not to fix the mistake.
She then looked at my receipt and told me that there was no mistake. She started to back track and saying that the product was never 149 inclusive (saying that the two employees on two different days misrepresented themselves by saying that it was 149, but really it was 152 and they were just rounding down). When i mentioned that this still didn't make sense because there should have been a 10% discount, she tried to convince me that the bill was 152 after the 10% discount (which is basically insane any way you try and count it).
She finally gave me 2 dollars (completely negating the 10% discount that I should have received). To top it off, when I mentioned that this was terrible customer relations, she told me "I own 3 stores, I don't care". Way to do business.
