My Mother Rose Walker was to be put to rest here in May 0f 2015. We purchased a Columbarium and Urn for her funeral. They had two weeks to organize and order the Urn. The day of her service before we could take it all in, there was Mom at the alter in the chapel, in a cardboard box. Someone named Erica forgot to order the Urn. My Family were devastated. My Mother's ashes were in a cardboard box that they provided. How disrespectful. Now today January 24, 2018 I am still trying to get the ownership certificate of a double Columbarium that was purchased for me and paid for November 2017. This place does not have it together. I have phoned them three times about the newest purchase. This place is a disaster. Take your hard earned money and go somewhere else.

TODAY WE VISITED THORNTON CEMETRY....WE WERE IMPRESSED BY THE CLEANLINESS AND MAINTAINENCE OF THE WHOLE CEMETERY, THE OFFICE STAFF FRIENDLINESS.....WELL GROOMED AND LOVED ONES CARED FOR !!!!!!!!

A one star rating is still too much for this place. We buried dad there in spring and it has been a nightmare since! The grounds maintenance is lacking to say the least, they broke the pot his flowers were in with a lawn mower and didn't even have the courtesy to tell me and only replaced it after I called and had a heated argument with the grounds manager, they had a RIDICULOUS and very DISRESPECTFUL "family fun day" in the summer. What the hell was all I could say. There was a clown, face painting, live band, horse carriage rides, vendors and more!! When they dug the hole to pour cement for dads head stone they rudely left all kinds of mud on his plot! I mean seriously how difficult is it to take a rake and ensure it's clean.
So this is my review on Thornton Cemetary. I do not recommend it to anyone and I regret our choice everyday. If I could have dad put elsewhere I would!

My mother has been resting at Thorton Cemetary for over 20 years now.The grounds are always very well kept at all times.I myself plan on being buried there..I give this cemetary a 5 star rating.....Sincerely Wendy Gould

As a famiy we are very happy with the professional help and advice we received from the staff at Thorton Cemetery. When my mother died my father visited the cemetery all the time to the point where ground staff started to notice and told us about it because they were concerned about him. Now my father is gone and we received the same care and assistance with his burial service. They were very accomodating.
