Yesterday I bought their familia pack along with other stuff and spend almost 60 dollars. When I checked my take out order there were only 3 sauce...upon my asking for more the owner herself asked me to pay extra for sauce. To my surprise I told her that this is not even sufficient for 4 family members who are buying familia. She said I can give you this time but we have been ordered by the HEADQUARTER not to give sauce more than 3 with any order. I notify about the unfairness from their side as person who is buying and dining in only a kabab or wings has pleny of sauce in form of big bottles on the table but people who are spending $60 on take out are given just 3 sauce??? She had no answer in her stinky mouth!! I will never ever go to them instead would prefer swiss chalet.

APRIL. 22,2009
I ORDERED FULL CHICKEN WITH FRIES AND BUNS AT EGLINTON
( TORONTO SITE) REQUESTING SOME EXTRA NANDOS SAUCE AND NAPKINS. I SENT MY NEPHEW FOR PICK UP AND THE CHICKEN INSPITE OF MAKING IT CLEAR TO MAKE IT WELL DONE, IT WAS NOT. THE NANDOS SAUCE WAS GIVEN IN JUST SMALL CONTAINERS WITH "4 " PACKETS OF KETCHUP AND GUESS ONE NANDOS NAPKIN "YES" ONE NANDOS NAPKIN TO GO.
WHAT A LOUSY SERVICE, I HOPE THAT THE OWNERS OR THE PROPERITORS LEARN ABOUT EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GIVING THE CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY ASK FOR JUST LIKE THE SWISS CHALET DO. WE WANT TRUST THE NANDOS ANYMORE AT THIS LOCATION AND I HOPE THAT THE HEAD OFFICE INSPITE OF JUST GIVING THE FRANCHISE TO THE PEOPLE TEACH THEM ABOUT THE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

All too often I end up eating Swiss Chalet because it's there - I don't like it that much - I find it rather sterile. But it is there just around the corner. Wherever you are. They even bring it to you. Very utilitarian.

ENTER NANDOS. Sure it's a chain. Yes it's stuck in a strip plaza in the middle of nowhere. But it's got a following. 9:00 pm on a Thurs and it's got a steady stream of chicken lovers.

So I won't give up on Churrasco Villa that fast, but Nandos was actually pretty good. A bit too spicy at times - but in a good kind of way. Even the corn on the cob was dripping with hot sauce (gross actually – but they gladly changed it for me). This wasn't a meal, it was a workout. I needed a shower. And I didn't even go all the way. There is hotter!

It's not just the hot sauce - the whole approach is different here - BUT don't go in a big hurry. If you waited this long for take out at Swiss, you would be asking for a free dessert.

OK enough about Swiss Chalet already. This is about Nandos - and I would say it's worth a try - especially if you like it hot and looking for a change in chicken.

I tried the Nando's in Richmond Hill and even with no hot sauce (they looked at me like I was from another planet when I asked for no sauce) it was too spicy. And they offer free lukewarm water, so I think their main business is selling cold drinks ;) But the chicken was pretty good and the salad was pretty good. Just a little too spicy for me.

Spicy is Great and changing up chicken is a must. Swiss Chalet has it's perks, but like a turkey dinner, your tired of it before the first bite :P
