Its closed. And good riddance. Dont get me wrong; it IS situated at the crux of nightlife in that entire Markham & Richmond Hill area. But a horrible male security staff & weapon toting imbeciles ruined what was otherwise one of the only reasons to venture out in that 905 area thurs - sat. Locals and urbanites alike did enjoy themselves when they were able to duck the male securty staff's delusions of grandeur & a few flinging knives or two. The patio was one of the best feats of the club; wrapping almost around the entire premise allowing for relative privacy.
Why am I even writing all this? Because that piece of real estate will still exist or maybe always. And if the new management is reading this; choose your male bouncers carefully, have a metal detector, and completely seal the roof of the patio bar so the staff there dont have to squint through ice on their eyes in the winter.
That is all.
Cheers.

and look what else comes upon search: Vacance 2010-10-15 17:30:08 These people are 100% fraudulent, they sold certificates for their restaurant online in May of 2010 and then closed the doors, it was a way to make a huge cash grab shortly before closing their doors....it was planned, it was fraudulent, and authoriies are looking into it and will be assessing the legal options for the people who have been duped by buying the certificates. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Director 2006-01-18 22:45:42 I am looking for some information about this bar and am not sure if you can help me. It is kind of an odd question actually. I am wondering if you would know the date that this restaurant closed? I know it is under renovation and to be opened under a new name but I need to know the exact date that they closed their doors. f you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

For my sister's 24th birthday, we were looking for a nice place where we could sit down and have dinner but then invite as many people as we wanted for dancing afterwards. Nava was exactly what we were looking for!
We called and made reservations for about 10 of us for dinner, which we wanted to have as late as possible so that we would be able to keep our booth throughout the night. They said they would let us have a later reservation than they normally allow and gave us a booth right above the dance floor. The booth would have been a quite tight if all 10 people had shown up, but since only 7 people did, it ended up being a great table in a great location.
For appetizers, we all shared Nava Fondue and Buttermilk & Cornmeal Calamari. I didn't try the calamari, but the rest of the guests said that it was excellent. The fondue was a little watery, but still tasty. Most of us had the Grilled Tortilla Wrap, which was amazing and it came with a nice little green salad that didn't fill you up too much to dance the night away. At one point I left the table to find our waitress to tell her that we want a little birthday treat for my sister that we saw another table receive but alas, it never arrived! That made me a little mad but not a huge deal.
We had made a guestlist for about 30 people and we told them to try and come before 10 to get in easier. Most of them came between 10 and 11 and got in easily. Everyone came at one point or another to join us at our booth, which ended up being great to have that night. The dance floor was a little small but there was a bar attached to it with bartenders that tried hard to accommodate everyone. The dance floor is also attached to the heated patio that has its own bar. The heated patio was nice because when you were hot from dancing inside, you can go to the patio where there is a little breeze but since it's heated, you don't freeze your buns off.
The drinks were pretty good and weren't outrageously priced. The waitress even brought my sister a free drink for her birthday. After seeing so many old friends and meeting many new ones, we stayed until last call. So in total we were there for about 5 hours but time just flew by and I wish it had been open later! We had an amazing night and I will absolutely go back again a thousand times!
Pros: Good food, heated patio
Cons: Crowded dance floor, small booth
