The Bohemian Social club is an awesome place to hang out day and night. This is an extension to The Penguin which is a couple blocks down the street.

During the day you can meet up with your friends at the Deli in the front for a delicious lunch and a cup of coffee or espresso. It feels like you are in your own living room. The types of meals served in the Deli side are fresh salads homemade soups, and pre-made sandwiches as well as Made-to-order sandwiches. They have big bay windows so you can watch the happenings on Belleville's Front street, great view of the old style shops offered in downtown Belleville. You can also phone in your orders ahead of time if you are in a hurry or only have a short lunch break.

In the evenings the Deli turns down the lights while the Social Club in the back gets things Pumping! This is a great bar to go to because there is always something new going on! About once or so a month there is an event called PUMP, which to my knowledge is an all ages event that serves mocktails that have people raving about. They have free popcorn and theme nights as well, such as PJ night, and the past raved about Studio 54 New Years Bash.

Another spectacular event they often hold are their Drag Shows. Ok don't drop your jaws yet. That's the best part of the club is that it truly is for all sorts of people, from young to old, straight to gay, etc. The drags shows are so fun ALWAYS packed and tickets should be paid in advance, when you have the option, although they do allow pay at the door entrants also.

They play all sorts of music and live bands. Most recently GOB, Die Mannequin, and Attack in Black. They even have heavy metal bands, Indie nights and a DJ night called Sinister Sundays. A great place for ALL!!

My only downside is IT does seem to get over crowded on some nights so it is a good idea to buy event tickets ahead of time when ever you have the chance, not always the best option for last minute plans.

"The Penguin" and "The Bohemian Social Club" used to be known as just one place called "The Bohemian Penguin" and has now been split into two places, one being the dining lounge and banquet hall which is "The Penguin" (at the same old location) and the other called "The Bohemian Social Club" and Deli located on the same street a couple blocks away. Look for my other review!
