We had collected 20 years of business records in our basement and called ShredEX for service. Each box was $5.66 to pick up, plus HST which we felt was fair. They set a day when pickups were in our area and came mid-morning as arranged. Very nice young men. The fee for 50 boxes was $283 plus HST.

However, we were told that there would be an additional charge of $1.50 per step up AND down per box. That would have added $1,800 to our bill which was very excessive. We are retired people and at our age should not have done this but couldn't afford it otherwise and put our health at risk as a result by having to do it ourselves.

Bad exerience, called them to schedule a pickup. No one responded for days, then called and left a message, no one returned my call. Called again several days later, receptionist told me all sales reps were busy, someone would call me back. Still waiting....
