I very very disappointed when my order arrived in the mailbox frozen as it was -30 weather . Worried about the integrity of the delicate oils and waxes I asked about having my order replaced or refunded . I was offered a 10% restocking instead of 20% after I returned at my cost 2.5 kgs and $160.00 of items . Canada post stated if there had been a sticker " do not freeze " they would of send me a pickup card . I am very disappointed as I had hoped to make a calendula eczema cream for my infant grand children and will now have to use a possibly inferior product . Most of my research states beeswax and other items can be refrigerated but don't advise freezing . I will not order from this company again , first and last time . Also I will inform others of my experience .

As stated to the customer when it was handled, freezing does not affect the integrity of the products, heat does though. Canada Post does not have heated cargo units, the items can be frozen long before they ever hit a mailbox. This is the nature of living in a cold climate such as Canada. We offered to restock the items at a rate of 10% compared to 20% as there was nothing wrong with the products and the order was filled properly. The product the customer would have made would not be inferior. As an aside, the products that come to us in drums are often frozen as the LTL freight companies do not heat the back of their units. None of the suppliers of these products pay for heated units, so this issue could have happened anywhere at any stage of the game without anyone even knowing.

Overpriced products and classes are anywhere from double to triple the price of other soap making classes.

If you are looking for a deal, we are definitely not it and you can get lesser grade products elsewhere, this is true. But if you are looking for unique products and quality, we might be it. Our classes are also much more extensive than our competitors, which is why they are priced higher.

Please be more specific. Saying your classes are more extensive is great, but in what way(s) are they more extensive? As for saying your competitors of having lesser grade products, that is simply not true. Sure in some cases your products are of a higher grade but as a general statement, not true.

Our classes are outlined here http://www.creationsfromeden.com/categories/courses_and_classes. We teach the math behind all of the recipes and the reason for the ingredients so a student can apply that knowledge to all ingredients in the future and not just the ingredients that are used in class. Our soap course is a two day course. We walk through the whole process from turning on the heat element and measuring out the ingredients to cutting the soap. If you don't need this thorough of a course than a less expensive one may be an option for you instead (you being anyone). Some people require the full process. Others learn from a book. I said "If you are looking for a deal, we are definitely not it and you can get lesser grade products elsewhere, this is true. But if you are looking for unique products and quality, we might be it. " My statement was not a general statement as not all of our prices are higher than everyone else's. It all depends on what you are looking for. We have very different cocoa and shea butters than others. I'm a certified herbal consultant so I am picky about the quality of my herbs and beeswax. We carry Bramble Berry fragrances which are a quality FO for soap makers. Many of our essential oils are of the best quality (High altitude lavender, Dark Patchouli which is a 2006 vintage, etc). The rest of our ingredients (ewax, stearic acid, surfactants, etc), for the most part, are identical to the others as we mainly get our USP, NF, preservatives, etc from the same suppliers.
