I attended a wedding here last month. The food was awesome and the staff were so friendly. It was an overall great experience and as a guest, I would highly recommend the venue.

I went to view this venue as a possibility for my upcoming wedding. I had made an appointment to view and went to the office and was greeted by blank stares and a snobby attitude. I was grudginly shown what they had to offer (it is very nice but the bridal rooms are very small) and given nothing but attitude the whole time.

I recently made an appointment to go and see the hall for a wedding occasion. I required the hall twice in one week for two different ceremonies. I met with Kim, she first showed me the facility and we then discussed details regarding catering etc. Since I was requesting the hall twice in one week I requested if she could provide a better deal. She was very positive and I did receive an email the following day (Thursday) that she was not able to get in touch with the chef and that she would get back to me the following Tuesday.
On friday I took my wife and daughter to show the place and met with Kimberley as Kim was away. Kimberley also showed us around etc.
As I did not hear from them a week later I called back and Kim did not recognize me at all. It took me several minutes and then she just said that the price she quoted was the price. I then asked her why she could not have informed me this as promised last Tuesday as I was waiting for her call before I proceeded. I informed that her service and her response was satisfactory so I asked to speak to her manager. She transferred me to Kimberley who also had trouble recalling who I was. She indicated that they see a lot of people every day as such have a tough time recalling who it is. I asked her if she met a lot of people who wanted to rent the hall twice in one week.
Needless to say I was very dissapointed. I have now signed up with an even better banquet hall who were very please with getting two days booked in one week. I am never going back to Ajax Convention Centre.

I remember this incident well. While I am sorry that Kim did not remember you by name when you called, she merely asked for you to advise her as to what your call was regarding, and once you provided more information than simply your name, she immediately recalled exactly who you were. She certainly did not mean to offend and apologized to you repeatedly. Kim meets with four or five couples every day and as you had no event on hold with us, she really had no point of reference based on just your name, particularly considering she was not expecting your call. Unfortunately, your request for us to further reduce an already discounted price was not something that Kim was able to authorize without my consent. She was not able to follow up with you until it was determined whether or not your request was possible. I am sorry that it was not. Kim has received countless accolades for her exceptional customer service as her numerous thank you cards and emails will confirm, and I am confident in stressing that her clients matter very much to her and she always goes the extra mile to ensure they are well taken care of. I am sincerely sorry that your experience with us was not what you expected - and I wish we could always say "yes" to client requests - but we do our absolute best to ensure that everyone receives the highest quality of customer care available in the industry.
